The covers are UV treated, rot and mildew resistant and will not show any significant wear or degradation by sunlight, even after years of regular use. These turf blankes are put down to provide frost protection during the winter months and removed in the spring. With shorter growing seasons in the winter months, many sports turf and golf course superintendents use these covers to enhance germination with such a shorter window. Landscape Supply Turf Blankets also provide protection against winter kill, both on warm and cool season turf. These blankets are reusable and carry at least a 3 year warranty if well protected.
