Mackenzie Bentgrass
Mackenzie has the density required for low heights of cut on greens, especially at the reduced fertility often utilized, with the more aggressive lateral growth needed for fairways. Mackenzie will withstand wear in all seasons with excellent ball mark recovery. It has high resistance to dollar spot, brown patch and Fusarium patch. Mackenzie has high summer performance and a winter-active growth so it is a superior choice no matter where your course is or the time of year of your heaviest play. MacKenzie is a multi-use creeping bent. It will tolerate the lowest putting green cutting heights, but also is excellent for tee and fairway use. It has a medium dark green color, a finer leaf texture, and an overall dense and attractive appearance, even under reduced fertility. It is very well adapted to areas with significant summer stress. It has been bred to produce a healthy and deep root system, even in the summer, and also resists ball mark damage. MacKenzie produces a uniform turf with excellent year round performance.
