Declaration can be used on golf course greens, tees and fairways to produce a highquality playing surface. It is a cutting edge creeping bentgrass variety which has been developed by Lebanon Turf in the U.S.A. In the 2005 NTEP Greens trial, Declaration ranked first for overall turf quality, which has set the standard as the best new creeping bentgrass available today. Declaration was also ranked first in the 2003 NTEP Fairway trial for dollar spot resistance. This impressive attribute will almost certainly have a positive impact on how superintendents manage their turf. There are potentially large savings to be made from reduced fungicide applications, which in turn will have a benefit on the environment.
